RMD Deadline Calculator
Enter your birth year — get your RMD age, your first-RMD date, this year's deadline, days remaining, and (optionally) an estimated minimum amount. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere; it all runs in your browser.
How the calculator works
- RMD age: 73 if you were born 1951–1959, 75 if born 1960 or later, 72 if born 1950 or earlier (full birth-year chart).
- First RMD: covers the year you reach RMD age — due December 31 that year, or April 1 the next year if you delay (why delay usually loses).
- Every later RMD: December 31, no extensions.
- Amount estimate: last December 31 balance ÷ the IRS Uniform Lifetime Table divisor for your age at the end of this year.
This tool covers
your own traditional IRAs and workplace plans. Inherited IRAs run on different rules —
see the 10-year rule. Roth IRAs have no lifetime RMDs.
